Queer problems need queer solutions.
Queer Minded was created by a queer clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience working alongside LGBTQ+ people and communities.
Built from the ground up, it addresses the unique challenges — and celebrates the unique strengths — of queer and trans lives.
It offers practical, immediately useful skills and knowledge to help LGBTQ+ people understand and care for their mental health.
Even though LGBTQ+ folk are more than twice as likely to experience common mental health difficulties like depression and anxiety, research shows that mainstream mental health services are often underprepared to meet their needs.
Queer Minded will help you understand and face your challenges with strategies backed by decades of research and clinical practice.

Hi, I'm Liam (he/him).
I'm a clinical psychologist and mental health researcher who has been working with LGBTQ+ people and communities for over a decade.
With my private practice booked out for over a year, I've been looking for innovative ways to connect LGBTQ+ folks to mental health support relevant to their needs.
After running Queer Minded as a group program in my private practice, offering it as an online self-help course seemed like the next logical step.
Queer Minded is the next-best-thing to being in the therapy room with me.

Find new ways to handle difficult feelings
Learn practical and evidence-based skills to help you tackle the feelings we often try to ignore until they're so big they feel overwhelming.

Break free of the beliefs that hold you back
We often internalise the homophobic, biphobic, and transphobic messages we are exposed to. Queer Minded helps you identify and challenge these beliefs to build a more realistic and compassionate self-image.

Live authentically with meaning and connection
Queer and trans people often learn to be inauthentic as a means of survival, but this learned habit holds us back in so many parts of our lives. Building authenticity is the path to a rich and rewarding life.

Your life. Your learning. Your pace.
It can be hard to find mental health support tailored to LGBTQ+ people.
Queer Minded provides tools for LGBTQ+ people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.
You can work through the lessons and apply them to your own life at a pace that suits you.
The course is delivered over 8 weeks, but you will have 6 months to complete all the lessons.
